Who is Christine Ristaino?
Professor Ristaino is a Senior Lecturer and Teacher Trainer in the Italian department here at Emory University. She received her Ph.D. in Italian literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. She also studied Italian Education, Italian cultural studies, cultural acquisition, language pedagogy, the marvelous Baroque, the "Querelle des Femmes," and Italian women writers. In addition she is an author of numerous entries, books reviews, book chapters, and articles in Teaching Italian and Italian Culture, Encyclopedia of Italian Literary Studies, Annali d'italianistica, Academic Exchange, and the Emory Report. Furthermore, I am enrolled in one of Professor Ristaino's sections of italian and I am not able to say one bad thing about her. Not only is she beyond qualified, she is also one of the nicest people I have ever come in contact with. Overall she is an amazing professor who works very hard to make learning both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable.
